Consumers should not use products that match one or more of the descriptions above. To date, FDA is not aware of consumer adverse events related to the use of these counterfeit versions of Cialis. Diurnal variation, food effects and proportionality of exposure to dose were analysed in three studies.

4.2 Hypersensitivity Reactions

Taking Cialis when you have vision loss may increase your risk of vision side effects. Your doctor may recommend a different medication than Cialis. If you have retinitis pigmentosa (a genetic eye condition that may cause vision loss), you should not take Cialis. It’s possible that Cialis may increase your risk of bleeding. So if you have a history of stomach ulcers, taking Cialis may increase your risk of developing bleeding ulcers.

Side effects and risks

(Stomach ulcers are sores in the lining of your stomach or intestine, and they may bleed.) Talk with your doctor before taking Cialis if you have a history of stomach ulcers. Steady state was attained by day 5 following once-daily administration, and accumulation (1.6-fold) was consistent with the t½. Tadalafil pharmacokinetics are linear with respect to dose and time, and are not affected by food.

FDA-approved Cialis tablets made by Eli Lilly contain the active ingredient, tadalafil, and are used for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and other approved indications. Currently, Eli Lilly’s authentic product is considered safe and effective for its intended uses. There is no indication that the legitimate supply chain is at risk, therefore consumers can be confident that prescription medicines received through legitimate state-licensed pharmacies located in the U.S. are safe and effective. Inhibition of PDE5 in the corpus cavernosum of the penis increases intracellular cGMP levels, thereby facilitating relaxation of smooth muscle leading to penile erection [3, 4].
